The following information summarises the conditions applied by UPARIS (SAS) (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”). For full details, please refer to our General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
1. Payment
- The total price is payable in a single payment at booking, whatever the departure date (no deposit or instalments), by bank card or bank transfer only.
- By bank card: the total amount is charged immediately.
- By bank transfer: the total amount must be received by us no later than the due date stated in the transfer instructions (5 calendar days after booking, and no later than the day before departure; from the day of departure, only payment by card is offered); the booking is only considered paid once the full price has been received.
Bank transfer: for a SEPA transfer in euros, each party bears the fees of its own bank; for any other transfer (non-SEPA, SWIFT, currency conversion, intermediary banks), bank fees are payable by you. In all cases, the amount received by us must equal the amount due.
2. Cancellation, rescheduling and transfer
- Invitation letter (Schengen visa): €30 per letter issued, never refunded on a cancellation by the Client, whatever its date (refunded only if we cancel the Trip or in case of exceptional and unavoidable circumstances).
- Cancellation scale (excluding invitation letter fees), as a percentage of the price actually paid; days are counted on the calendar of the Trip’s time zone (Paris time for current trips) and each D-N deadline ends at midnight, local time:
| Date of cancellation | Fee |
|---|---|
| 76 days or more before departure | 0% |
| 41 to 75 days before departure | 70% |
| 41 to 75 days before departure, visa refused (consulate of the place of residence, with our documents, official refusal letter) | 50% |
| 40 days or less before departure (departure day included) / no-show | 100% |
- These termination fees are justified on request. Exceptional and unavoidable circumstances at the destination (Terms of Sale, Article 10.7): cancellation free of charge and full refund. Any refund due is made at the latest within 14 days of the cancellation.
- Loyalty points: the points used are credited back to your account once the refund has been made, and in all cases if we cancel the Trip.
- Moving to another departure: possible up to and including D-76 (76 days or more before departure), subject to availability, with no rescheduling fee (only the price difference is paid or refunded); not possible from D-75.
- Transfer: possible up to and including D-7 (request received by 23:59, local time in the Trip’s time zone, on the seventh day before departure), to a person who meets the Trip’s requirements (age, health, level); administration fee of €50 per transferred Traveller (actual administrative cost, justified on request), plus the actual non-refundable costs already incurred (named and justified), for which the transferor and the transferee are jointly liable; from D-6, the booking can no longer be transferred.
3. Level, safety & supervision
Mountain activities involve inherent risks (weather, terrain, fatigue, etc.).
You commit to choosing a trip suited to your level and to having the required equipment. You must follow safety instructions and the decisions of the guides.
4. Insurance
No insurance is included in the price, and we do not sell any insurance.
Each Traveler must personally take out travel insurance covering the whole Trip and meeting at least the minimum legal requirements of the region where it takes place (for example, for Travelers subject to the Schengen visa: travel medical insurance of at least €30,000, valid throughout the Schengen area, covering repatriation and emergency care). We also recommend mountain search and rescue, cancellation and assistance coverage.
5. Personal data
Your data is processed to manage the booking and perform the contract. It may be shared with the accommodation providers, carriers, guides and other service providers of the Trip to ensure the smooth running of your trip.
6. WeChat group
To facilitate communication between travellers and the supervision team, a WeChat group is created for each departure (practical information before and during the trip: meeting point, weather updates, safety instructions, etc.). Joining it is optional (separate checkbox at booking, unticked by default) and has no effect on your booking; essential information is also sent to you by email.
If you agree, we send you the group’s QR code after payment, which you scan to join. A WeChat group QR code is only valid for 7 days: we renew it, and you can ask for a new one at any time from our official WeChat account uparis_outdoor or at contact@uparis.org. You can leave the group at any time. WeChat is a third-party service (Tencent group) whose data is processed outside the European Union: see our Privacy Policy.
7. No right of withdrawal
For leisure/tourism services provided on a specific date or period, there is no right of withdrawal (Article L. 221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code).
